Good things come to those who wait. WOW. Chase had more 'go' tonight, so I experimented with saying 'yes, go faster!' after he had been a little argumentative about going slower. I did NOT expect him to canter for me. Four times! After the first time I grabbed cookies. After the third time, I set up the camera, and with a fourth canter where he waited for me to stop him, I quit the session. Best part of all? Even though he was a little swishy tailed, pinned ears and had a bit of foot eating syndrome in the beginning, my confidence was completely in tact. By the way, I found these two nylon halters in the trash yesterday. Took them home, cleaned them up-aren't they cute? (I keep nylon halters because the horses are required to wear halters during the day, and I'm not leaving a rope halter on Chase for safety reasons)
